About the event
Join us for a restorative winter yoga, cacao, and sound bath experience dedicated to rest and self-care.
At these regular, monthly events, we aim to create a space where you are welcome as you are and feel held by the energy of the group. Together, we are fostering a community that provides support and nourishment.
We will begin with gentle movement to prepare your body and soul. Following this, we'll set intentions and share the sacred cacao. Finally, we'll get comfy and cosy for a soothing sound bath.
Cacao, a delicious and nourishing elixir, is a superfood rich in nutrients and bioactive compounds proven to increase resilience to stress and improve cognitive abilities and immunity. The effects of cacao will be heightened by the sacred sounds of gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, Koshi bells, therapeutic percussion, and more. The combined experience of yoga, cacao, and sound offers one of the best ways to achieve a state of full-body bliss, amplifying their power to open the heart, expand the mind, and connect with the infinite intelligence of the body.
Expect leaving the event feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and thoroughly rested.

Who can join?
Everyone is welcome - experienced meditators and those curious to try a gong bath for the first time. The beauty of a gong bath meditation is that anyone can enjoy it, no experience necessary. (Please see note below about circumstances where gong baths might not be suitable).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Gong baths are not suitable for anyone with a pacemaker, anyone who suffers from fits (epileptics), or anyone who is extremely sensitive to sound. They are also not recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy due to the unstable nature of pregnancy during that time. If you wear a hearing aid, your device should be turned off during the session. Cacao ceremonies are not recommended for individuals who are taking MAOI inhibitors, have heart conditions, or are highly sensitive to caffeine, as well as pregnant or breastfeeding women. Additionally, those with certain medical conditions or on specific medications should consult a healthcare professional before participating.
What should I bring?
Please bring your own thick mat (a pilates mat or camping mat are ideal), any props that you normally use for yoga (e.g. block, cushion etc.) and a warm jumper or a blanket to keep warm. An eye mask may also be nice to use.
